Afternoon Pub Crawl in Algiers Point

SAVED BY save this guide

Take the ferry across the mighty Mississippi River and get a panoramic view of the city from the second oldest neighborhood in New Orleans! Take a walk atop the levee and listen to the Jazz walk of fame. Capture the sunsetting behind St. Louis Cathedral. Enjoy all of the reasons why Algiers Point is "New Orleans Best Kept Secret".

    Algiers Ferry Dock

Make sure that you get some cash to pay for the Ferry to Algiers Point its $2 each way=$4 round trip. Even though once you experience Algiers Point you may never want to leave! Once you arrive in Algiers Point you have several options.

    Dry Dock Cafe

I recommend starting with lunch at the Dry Dock Cafe: grab a beer, a cup of gumbo, and share a Seafood Platter.

    Crown & Anchor

Next, head over to the Crown and Anchor for a hand pulled London Porter or on First Friday at 6pm a newly tapped Nola Cask Conditioned Ale! The Pimm's Cup is my favorite cocktail or you can have a perfect Gin and Tonic!

    Vine and Dine

Dinner Spot: Bottle of wine, Crab and Brie, Pizza, and Charcuterie!

    Louie's Corner Bar

It's a corner bar off of the beaten track, but a great place to hide out for a while! ;)

    Old Point Bar

One of the most filmed bars in the U.S. it's a great place to listen to live music and have a drink before catching the last ferry back to the Eastbank!
